less intruders living through your home invasion but i would get a automatic weapons licence and an insurance policy

None, they are legal. You just need to aquire whatever license your state has for that class of weapon.
Here in michigan no license is required, and there are just about no killings with assault rifles.

If you have the stamp, nothing. If it's a semi-auto, nothing, unless state laws prohibit semi-auto rifles

Depends on the laws of that State.
Is it fully automatic, if so...that can be serious trouble.
Not sure if that type can be made to shoot single mode
only.
