The most that I got from trick-or-treating were Kit-Kats, with Reses comming in a close second.

When I was a kid, most popular candy was actually Hershey Bars and they were the large size lol followed by Babe Ruth Bars, and Butterfingers, OH Henry, then the small candies such asTootsie Rolls, Candy Corn, and smarties for sure.
As the years passed, the chocolate bars got smaller and less frequent and I can remember we started hitting the richer neighborhoods to get the larger bars of candy hehehe

I don't know the most popular but I did hear on TV that Candy Corn was the least liked to get for trick or treating.

the most popular candy is hershey bars or fruity candies. fruity candies are good for people who will come trick or treating and have nut allergies. dont forget about people with allergies. be careful with what you get.

I'd wager that Tootsie Rolls and Smarties will be the most handed-out. The most received for me was Twizlers.

my kids got mostly tootsie rolls. only one 3 muskateer bar.
Sweety you can trade my tootsie rolls for the cinnamon candies, I never found them here or Good and Plenty in the trick or treat size packages.

you should have come to my house,
i did give out reese's cups and kit-kat's too,
and milky way, 3 musketeers, baby ruth, snickers, m&m's, hershey's, nestle's crunch, and another reese's bar whatever it is,
but whatever comes out of the bag is what you get!
