I guess we are part of the evolution of the world.
We live we learn things and pass a portion of our knownledge onto our offspring, family and friends for it to be carried forward though the generations. In this way people have developed and learnt new skills.
All of us should help to make others lives happier and we should try to enjoy the precious years we have as we do not know how long they will last.

Biologically, the point is to recreate.
Emotionally, the point is to establish meaningful bonds, and to affect people in a postive way before you die.
