You don't. Your only hope is if the table top is solid wood. then you can sand and restain. if its veneer your'e stuck because you cant sand enough to get the stain out. buy a nice table cloth.

Usually the white stain is caused from wax build-up. Gently rub the stain with toothpaste and wipe clean.

Try rubbing a shelled pecan or walnut on the stain. They make an almond stick that does the same thing.

I say that you should paint over the stain because maybe because of the heat the paint came off...

Use a damp cloth dipped in cigarette ashes or cigar ashes into spot and polish when dark enough.

GENTLY RUB WITH A CLOTHMOISTENED IN LINSEED OIL AND USE CIGARETTE OR CIGAR ASH AS A MILD ABRASIVE. OR MIXLINSEEDOIL AND PUMICE POWDER INTO A THIN PASTE. RUB IN DUIRECTION OF GRAIN AND WIPE OFF WITH PLAIN LINSEED OIL. FOLLOW WITH FURNITURE POLISH. REPEAT IF NECESSARY.
