I don't have any sleeping pills or nothing like that. I'm in a lot of pain right now, emotionally and physically, and I need some sleep but I can't get there. Any home remedies?

I dunno if my option is a "do-able" for you, depending upon your unspecified pain physically and/or emotionally, but having an orgasim almost always relaxes me and I tend to sleep better afterwards. I don't know if you have a spouse that can help you with this - or if the emotional pain has to do with them directly, then it's likely not a good idea, unless you're willing to forgive and do "make up" sex...

Definately, it is possible without another but that also depends upon your ("a lot of") pain and a number of other variables and isn't neccesarily as fast - or maybe it would be FASTER depending upon how well you "know yourself"

If nothing else, this will bring a little laughter to you which they say is the best medicine. I have found that praying helps at times (could be used as in "oh God help him to last long enough to get me to climax") and then when you get there - "oh God, Oh GOD, OH GOD!" - to be thankful that He does answer prayers.

Even if you can't sleep well, do rest your body and your eyes. If you mind is running with emotions and to help with your emotional pain especially, please do seek councelling. Psalms Chapters 3 & 4 in particular have some verses about lying in peace and sleeping. Your physical pain can cause lack of sleep and lead to sleep deprivation and extra emotional stress. Don't let it spiral too far out of control. Get help and get some pills if you need to.

Take a hot bath, get in warm clothes, turn OFF the computer and the TV. Listen to soothing music in a dark room. Eat a small plain snack like pretzels or a piece of toast. Drink a small glass of milk.

Don't watch TV or do the computer...that causes your brain to "excite" or want to stay awake.

Try going to a vitamin store and taking some Melatonin and Magnesium 30 minutes before bed each night.

I know that's not super fast, but it's healthy. You could try a big glass of wine which will help to get you to sleep but it can cause restless sleep later in the night.

The pain is probably keeping you up I bet. Take some pain pills (not too much) & for me this has worked for putting me to sleep. Hot Chocolate... I don't know why but for some reason I go right to bed. I've heard chamomile tea also works..any herbal tea.

Relax & maybe try a hot bath. That works for me when I have cramping.

Wake up earlier. I used to have a hard time getting to sleep, but now I have to be up by 5:15 every morning so by 10pm I am out! By the way, exercising within an hour of trying to sleep will actually keep you up longer because it stimulates your body. So if you do the exercising thing, do it well before you plan on going to bed.

Get into a position so that you can completely relax every muscle in your body. On your back with a small soft pillow would be great.

Breathe in eight counts, breathe out eight counts.

Picture all the cells in your body becoming more relaxed with every breath. They are filling with pure oxygen and releasing all the bad stuff stored in there.

This is also happening to your brain cells, and your heart cells.

Fill your body with oxygen, from your toes to your fingertips to your scalp. Every time you exhale you are expelling unwanted feelings, anxiety, emotions.

Soon you will feel clean and want to roll over and go to sleep.
