Well it's good to know that I am not the only wife on the planet that has this problem with her husband. Mine tends to make the paint peel off the walls....or melt the bedcovers...which ever seems to be in the line of fire.
Hence we went to a doctor....at first it was kinda of funny...but after the hairs in your nose melt down to nubs you have a problem.

He actually can't eat spicey foods anymore...his digestive system is changing (I guess as you grow older this happens) He had also been burping alot too...(I guess if it can go out one opening it has to find another outlet).

Things have gotten better. At least the animals aren't dead due to the smell and the paint of the walls actually have lasted longer.
Have him go to a doctor. You will be happy that he did.

What a subject to try to get people to help you out on. Usually nobody wants to help with this kind of stuff.
Whatever he is eating is messing him up. Is he one of those beer and burrito types that you cannot get to change diet or will he cooperate?
The intestines have a natural bacterial balance. If the wrong kinds of bacterias begin to outnumber the right kinds then the final processing of foods can be affected causing gas. Certain medicines as well as over the counter treatments could upset this balance and it could take a long time to restore it-if not forever. A faster way to help restore an unbalanced intestinal tract is by consuming yogurt and acidopholis milk.
Some people with bad problems keep a log of foods they eat and the affects. I recently saw them do this on mythbusters on TV. 3 people kept a daily log of their "flatulance" while all 3 ate different categories of foods.
Avoiding beans is a no-brainer but if you really want to use them buy beano from your grocery store to add to them and if you can, add some of the juice from a previously cooked batch of beans to cook the next one.
So many guys are rude and think this stuff is funny but personally I find humor in more refined ways. Hopefully your guy is as interested in stopping this as you and moving on to having more class. Refinement is a main ingredient to a happy life. Good luck in your home.

LOL oh, if you could only come to my house for a day...my husband and your husband would be close competitors! I just try to ignore it. If it's really bad I bury my nose in the pillow or else I ask him to take some Gas-X or something! lol (Although I don't think that helps much.) Everything makes my husband gassy. But, I love him dearly and try to see the big picture...but if this is a recurring problem, maybe he has some gastrointestinal issue...I wouldn't say that it's every night w/ my hubby...ask him if he has any other symptoms like bloating or stomach cramps...you never know...anyway, good luck! Btw we've been married almost the same amt. of time as you. :)

If your husband has a quiet leak that stinks, he needs to either see a doctor or get some medicine to help it. If your husband is "letting it rip" in a public manner, he needs to get some manners and have some dignity and respect for his wife. everyone of us can "feel it coming on" and can do much to make it discreet and avoid stinking up a room. Unless he is in the car - he should be quietly dismissing himself and only re-enter your airspace when the fumes have disappeared. sorry you have to deal with this. you are either dealing with a medical issue that needs some attention, or a manner issue that needs some attention.

You have a got yourself a problem. Get you a box of those big old kitchen matches, have them ready. Watch him when you see em ease up straight striking them, Their is nothing worst than having to smell some ones old gas. Have you ever walk down a aisle in a store and someone will let one and it lingers, I mean that it when I start stepping fast. That is the most disgusting think a person can do, they need to hit that bathroom flush that stool, where you can't hear it and striking them matches where don't have to smell it.

I'm sorry, but many men have gas problems.
The good news is their system is working.
May I suggest he try taking a Beano tablet before eating followed by one Gas X after eating. Generally works for me.

start looking at the foods he is eating.....all men change over time and foods we once ate, we can't eat anymore.

items like chili, spices, pepper, bacon, pepperoni, lettuce, etc.

I use to be able to eat anything, had a metal stomach but now I have to watch as I get acid reflux and gas.

Just part of a man growing old. Change his diet and you'll change the smell.

Gas....means intestinal problems....probably Helicobacter pylori. This bacteria lives in the GI track and gives and odour like you wouldn't believe.
