Public Enemy sampled the beat first. Then Diddy used it and made a video for the song with Flava Flav in it. The beat was originally a James Brown song.

Yes I do. No I don't. I'm pretty sure it is an original song. There may be samples in the beat, is that what you mean. Because honestly, it's not really clear what you mean . . . at least Jay-Z knows how to express himself. Jay-Z is the greatest rapper alive. The Roc!

i don't know.. but i agree it is terrible. too much treble, i can't hear the individual instruments and sometimes it drowns out Jay-z's lyrics.
