Emma, you're not going to be able to spin this into a Democratic advantage. People are outraged, and yet not one Democrat has gone on record denouncing the remark.
I understand the lame attempt at humor Kerry was making. Yes, yes, he was implying that Bush is stuck in Iraq, because he's dumb and didn't study hard. (yawn)
What you apparently fail to recognize, is that the lameness of the "joke" is itself evidence of Kerry's failure as a human being. How could he not realize that people would hear it as they did and be offended? How is it that he and the rest of the Democrats are so disconnected from reality, they can't see that every hour without an apology is digging them into a deeper hole?
People don't apologize for offenses then intended, people apologize for UNINTENDED offenses, and Kerry is either too arrogant or too belligerent to say he's sorry. At this point, it's probably too late. Any apology now will sound insincere at best.
I'll be sure and send him a Thank You note, after the Republican victory next week.

George Bush has not made one comment about Kerry's
horrible remarks about our troops. The news Media and
John McCaine are the ones. I listened to what he did actually
say, and it definitely is not about George Bush.....it is about
our U.S. troops (not being intelligent or they wouldn't be in
Iraq). This is not the first blunder Kerry has ever made...it
comes to him naturally and then he tries to lie out of it. Get
your facts straight.

John Kerry's remarks were clear, unambiguous and well spoken.
In 1968 his statements before a Congressional Committee were also clear, unambiguous and well spoken.
Both of these diatribes were spun to death, misrepresented, misunderstood and really didn't mean what the ideas and conclusions they conveyed were interpreted as meaning.
OH, REALLY???
Spin....spin.......spin..........
Put the listener on the defense - all of these statements were misinterpreted and all of the criticism is unjust and uncalled for.....yeah, right.
The man's a pompous, left wing nut job who only cares about his own ambitions and agendas and to hell with what might be best for this country. Period.

There wasn't any confusion. Kerry was caught with his foot in his mouth. That is usually what happens to elitist that can't relate to the commoners.

Kerry once called his companions in vietnam "baby killers". He is very willing to criticize our troops.
He meant exactly what we think he did, and it fits in perfectly what he has been saying since the 1960's.

I have often wondered if Bush is dyslexic, especially as to how he mangles words and makes up words as he goes along
