Books will tell you 14-16 weeks, the development of the sexual organs. But knowing will be up to you. You can order a CVS test or an ultrasound test. Depending on the baby the Tech could tell you. Note, at this stage, little one is moving for the first time and you might not find out for sure. Baby has alot of free space to move around, I didnt know the sex of my son until I was 35 weeks, less space to move about and the Tech could get a clear look

With my last son, they told me at 14 weeks. I go in every three for an ultrasound and appointment. This time, when i was 10 weeks, he checked. He couldn't really tell. At the 13th weeek appointment, he said he believes it is a girl, as he didn't not see the beginnings of "boy" parts. So they can tell early, but don't count on that as being definite. Well, they are more right with boys. But he told me he will confirm it at my 16 week appointment to be sure. So, if you are only going on one ultrasound, it would be best for you to wait for the normal 18 to 20 week ultrasound to be more sure!!!

The earliest is 16 weeks.

I found out at 16 weeks for my first child and at 18 weeks for my second. It is probably more reliable the further you are.

16 weeks but the results aren't as reliable as they would be at say 18-20 weeks.

i found out as early as 10 weeks. when i had an ultrasound to detrmine how far i was they could also tell that i was having a boy!
