Lately it seems to run out almost immediately after any call over 10 min. Should I just pay the $50 for a new one?

What you should do is what's called conditioning your battery. You need to charge it fully over night then let the battery drain completely until it dies. Do this a few times.

When you charge your battery before it even needs to be charged, it in a way programs your battery to only use a certain percent of it's actually capability.

after this point, there is no return. It is best to buy the new one because there is no way you can extended it because you have already killed most of the Lithuim Ion energy producing molecules which is causing this problem. Once you get a new battery, ALWAYs keep it on, if you turn it off it detoirates the battery life and it will eventually end up where you are right now..

Batteries get run out when you charge them unnecessarily very often. So the next time you charge it charge it fully and also you can disable some features in your mobile like the clock etc to avoid battery discharging too early.Or if the problem continues buy a new one but this time of some other manufacturer.Hope this helps...
