Did something life altering happen to you within the last year? Something bad? If so maybe you are suffering from PTSD, Post traumatic stress disorder, which is treated with psychotherapy, and medications. There is a reason why you've lost the excitement for life, and why you find everything worthless. Think back over your life has it been creeping up on you, or is it something that happened recently. Try to pin point when these feelings started to emerge and then look up on the Internet disorders, mental illness, depression and the like and see which one fits whats going on with you. I hope you have a doctor you can turn to and if so you should, and tell them everything and get a recommendation from them for a good mental health professional. A big hug. Good luck.

for sure you need professional help, but i realized that before we can take anyones advise , you have tou get mostlikely medicational therapy because more than likely you suffer from a chemical imbalance . you need to be properly diagnosed.

i have severe depression and i havent been able to offord meds. i found this vitamin over the counter called st johns wort. seriously give it a try. take 1 pill for the first 5 days. if you dont feel any better, try 2 in the morn. later if needed if it seems you could adjust it one more time then take another around 4. but i found that to be a little more than i needed so stayed st the 2. i feel so much better, and though my problems havent gone away, i can more easily work through them and be more happy. i have more energy now because om not weighted down by the constant thinking and stress and i actually sleep through the night and feel refreshed when i wake up. im not snapping at people anymore and i just feel better. so try that and then email me and well try to work together to set up a plan of action to help you feel better. i just know how you feel and want to help. my email address is skysmama77@yahoo.com

seriously the first thing i noticed when i took the 2 pills was sileance. oh my god it was fantastic.i could think of one thing at a time or nothing at all if i didnt want. let me know what you think

You need to take get away from what is troubling you, whether it be your environment, the people, your situation in life, or just simply your home. Honestly, depression has soo many triggers. First, I suggest you talk to your family and allow yourself to go to counseling services. Do not ever think for a minute that you are bad or stupid for having depression, it is more common than people think. Once you've gone to counseling services and are trying to think more positively, as well as maybe given medication, start to slowly make goals and plans for your future. You can get over depression if you let yourself to believe that everything in your life is 'only for now.' Do not let worry, jealousy, or failure get you down. Depression is a mental disorder meaning it is not just made up. It is clinically diagnosed and thus you don't have to feel shame. Do not worry about the things in your life that are temporary, just cherish your family and what you have. Also, don't worry about taking time away from what you are doing right now, whether it is school, work, or anything else. Your health is what matters.

It sounds like clinical Depression and you may likely need anti-depressants to treat that. If you are not reacting to things emotionally and the other symptoms you are having, it really sounds like you need to see your doc or any doc can help with depression initially, then you will probably follow up with a psych doc after that. This may just be taken care of with meds so be patient. I'd tell you to cheer up, but.....you know. Take care and the longer you put off seeing tha doc, the longer you suffer. Know from Experience

A few steps on your part will help alot. Pray to Jesus and ask for guidance and confess your shortcomings to him. Ask for the thoughts to go away, ask for God to pic you up in his arms and carry you through this time. Give your mind over to God and his son Jesus, and you will be given peace. Show your friends you care about them. If you do all this and still need help, go to a health clinic, tell the physician what you have done to relieve the depression, and you may find that medication will be offered to you to remove depression. Take it, use only as directed. You will be blessed by God and relieved of your anxiety.

What you say is actually how I feel sometimes. I guess is not so uncommon. I really feel for you. I am going to think about this and try to answer later. But hey hang in there. One thing I do know is that somehow we make it through. I hope you will.
