I heard a quote a while back that caught my attention The guy said "Hate is stronger than love because if you hate someone they always hate you in return, if you love someone you aren't always loved back". Kind of a sobering statement. What do you think?

I can definitly relate to the irony of his thoughts. Hate is sometimes very much srtonger than love.

Hatred is no stronger than love just as love is no stronger than hate. Fire is no stronger than ice and ice no stronger than fire. The only time one is stronger than the other is when there is too little opposition to what is felt. Just as one ice cube cannot put out a large fire or a match cannot melt an iceberg so then one candle of love can't melt an ocean of frozen hearts nor an icecube of hatred put out sweeping fires of love.

I disagree with the quote. I believe it is very easy to hate, but to love takes hard work, time forgiveness, and most of your life. I believe love is stronger, as you must fight for it.

Hate is very destructive, most often the people you hate don't know it and if they did, they would not care. I have known 2 people in my life, women, that I strongly dislike.

If hate were stronger than love, we'd see nothing but chaos and hardship in this world. Yes, we have chaos and hardship now... but not exclusively... we have people opening their hearts to help others... and some literally risking their lives to save others.

just because a match can be lit on the coldest of nights, doesn't mean the rain can't put out the fire.
