i disagree with the tracfone comment. they're TOOO EXPENSIVE. i have a 14 year old cousin...she'd spend $50 a week EASY on her tracfone.
i bought her like, the cheapest virgin mobile phone for her birthday..and it's perfect for her. the rates are cheaper..she actually has thier premium prepaid which is similar to a monthly plan..but doesn't require credit or even a credit card..she loads funds on her phone from the top-up..just as long as she has the amount needed for the month on the phone by the time the plan rebilled. you also need to have extra on there for overages and premium products...and since they're on sprint..thier overage works similar to thier fair and flexable plans...when you go over, you're billed $4.50 and are given a block of minutes at the overage rate...there's also free night and weekends on some of the plans...although....if you want a sidekick and have $400..you can get one prepaid from tmobile. i have one and am STILL considering getting a virgin phone just for calls...and using the sidekick for the camera and internet...hey..unlimited AIM/email and web for $1 a day...yeah.
