Hi, lately I've been depressed because my best friend has been making plans with other people in front of me for the past couple weeks and I'm concerned. There is this one girl she's been pretty much up her behind for the past couple weeks. She talks to her at luch instead of me and she makes plans with her. So, i try to ignore her and she thinks I'm depressed because of the family problems I've been having. She's the one who has to be at the center of attention and I'm the shy one. Then, at the Haloween Dance I finally let it go and started crying. She took me outside and asked what was wrong. I told her that she's been ignoring me. She then says that you know your my best friend and I always call you before anyone else right? Well, after that I just have been quiet and it's been the same making plans and ignoring me. What should I do? But, the strange thing is, on her myspace i'm # 1 on her friends list. But, the girl she has been hangin out w/ doesn't have a mypsace. i'm confused.

Sorry to hear your friend is treating you this way. It sounds like someone else started paying attention to her and she likes being around that person & is forgetting about you. You really need to either speak up and ask if you can be included in their plans and try to become friends with the other girl, or be on the lookout for another friend to hang out with.
And no matter what happens, if your friendship ends on bad terms do not let her see that it bothers you.

No, I don't think she is using you, she just found a new friend is all. Just because she's your best friend doesn't mean she has to be your only friend. Just if she decides not to make plans with you but with some1 else, you do the same. You don't have to hang out with her all the time and if ya want ask if you could come with, get to know her friend some more maybe you will actually really like her! Sometimes new friends could be exciting and she's just excited, it doesn't mean your now her best friend anymore. I'm sorry your depressed but maybe if you meet new friends you'll be happier. Maybe you should just stop being friends she does not look like a good friend anyways. I think that would solve the thing cause I see that she is not getting the message that she is ditching you for the other girl. Or you can talk to them both at the same time and tell them how you feel. Maybe you guys can be a threesome! Who know try! That would be my opinion!

She is just playing games with you. I had that in school also. I just got enough guts and said if you really care about me you would include me in your plans and if she totally makes more excuses then it is time to make new friends. (Oh by the way your true friends would never do this to you.) You will find out later in life that you only have maybe 2 or 3 really true friends in your life, I am speaking from experience.

Your "best-friend" is playing mind games and as you've probably figured out she's not your best friend.
Find some new people to hang out with. If she talks to you go on and talk to her but don't give her any more importance than a casual acquaintance.
You don't need people in your life who play games with your feelings.
