I saw her on television recently and she looked great. Do you think Bobby Brown was the cause of her drug addiction?

This is real coming out right here! What Bobby did those things to Whitney because she let him do it! Whitney knew what type of man she was dealing with in the beginning of there relationship, but she rebelled against all of the people who had second thoughts on there relationship. Whitney went on drugs because she couldn't deal with the reality of what was really happening in there relationship. But you can look at it from this point of view...I think Whitney knew what type of man Bobby is, and she still went there thinking that she can change who he is. That didn't work so she started doing drugs to fit in more into his life style, so the acting ghetto and being forward and doing more of the R&B that was Bobby's world, that Whitney inherited thinking "Maybe if I act like this, maybe this will draw us closer to each other"? But she finally realized that it wasn't for her, and now that Bobby has author of Confessions of a Video Vixen, Karrine Steffans pregnant; she is fed up with his lying and cheating. I know that everybody wanted Whitney to leave Bobby and he was the cause of this and that, but in reality Bobby and Whitney didn't see it that way....sometimes you can't tell people your thoughts on there lifestyle, specially if they don't see it the way you do! Just pray for them and watch how they will realize. Whitney got herself together because of all the prayers around the world. I knew she would get through it, it was shocking to see all of that! lol, but Whitney is a strong person and she is making steps to a better life (which is important). This made me realize even the strongest people can go through, but are struggles make us stronger!

Please! Whitney is several years older than Bobby is. I doubt that he influenced her to do anything. The only reason that she married him is that she was pushing 30 at the time and he was the only major single black star around who would have anything to do with her. Think about it: As gorgeous as Whitney Houston was supposed to be at that time, NOBODY would date her. She unsuccessfully chased both Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall for years and neither of them wanted anything to do with her. I always suspected that Whitney has some sort of issue going on that her entourage was covering up. And Whitney is from Jersey City, so you know she's ghetto; she's always had a team of stylists and coaches working with her during her public appearances. There is no way that pathetic little Bobby Brown could have "corrupted" Whitney Houston. They both had drug issues when they met. After they got married their habits fed off of each other, and Whitney's money enabled their separate addictions to escalate.

I believe Whitney was using drugs way before she ever met her husband. The drug problem just got worse because there were a lot of problems in the marriage, in the relationship to begin with and this was her outlet, to take drugs to ease her pain, her sadness, etc. And it in turn cost her a wonderful, successful career. She was so drug addicted that she was unable to work, but how was it that her husband Bobby was still working, up to this day! She looks great now and that is because of Clive Davis's help. After all he wants Whitney to make up for all the years she hasn't put out any albums for him. She hasn't lived up to her contract and so now pressure was put on her to finally get her act together. God willing she will one day be able to finally end all her addictions and go on to record and perform like she was meant to.

I remember Whitney Houston in her heyday when she really could sing back in the early 80's...I saw her a few times and she was really talented. When I saw a few of these "Me & Bobby Brown" episodes I couldn't believe how low she had become....drinking, drugs, cursing, living a what? meager existence ( how awfully droll).....anyhow your answer is YES......she seems to be so much better and I think has started to get her act together......I hope she keeps it up.

If she smokes, he smokes too. That's how much he's in love with her. (It's that "Don't Phunk With My Heart" Black Eyed Peas song that goes: I'll play Bobby and you'll play Whitney. If you smoke I'll smoke too. That's how mych I'm in love with you. Crazy is what crazy do. Crazy in love, I'm a crazy fool.)

Yeah, hehe, anyway. I think that everyone makes their own decisions, so I don't think he's the cause of it. Maybe a little bit. : )

I think he was her downfall . Yes she used to be one of my favorites but I do not care for her anymore. Yes she looked somewhat better but If you think about she aged so much due to drugs and God know what damaged drugs have done to her insides that is irreversible like kidney, heart,liver damage and brain damage time will tell . God Bless and help her in her life and I wish her well.

NO person is the cause of drug addiction. He could have influenced her though.

I don't think he was the "cause", I 'll bet she did cocaine way
before she met him. I think he fueled the fire.....cause it's
obvious she got alot worse as time went on. And with him getting
in trouble alot, it was a very co-dependant relationship, I'll bet.

she is responsible for her own weakness, her husband is into drugs himself....and responsible for his weakness...they were weak together and now that they are apart, whitney should recover and become a whole person again....

I want to say yes. her career went down hill after they married. it will be interesting to see how her career does after the divorce.
