Corn muffin recipes tend to include a couple tablespoons of sugar in the ingredients. Corn bread, on the other hand, if made in true Southern style, has no or very little sugar. I prefer corn bread, especially when baked in an old iron skillet that has been seasoned with bacon drippings.
