I think the reason that Jason Elam does not do kickoffs because Coach Shanahan want to sane Elam's leg for the important feild goals. Years ago, elam was the only kicker that the Broncos had, and Elam got hurt they couldn't do kick offs or feild goals, so the Broncos just want to keep the Broncos All-time scorer safe and healthy.

Todd Saurbrun is not the kicker or punter because he was caught by the NFL with drugs in his system and had a 4 game suspension.

Elam would owe Cutler something. Kickers quite a lot not in any respect get corridor of repute aspect out, so a guy like Elam who owns the longest FG in NFL heritage and positive factors attractiveness for nailing the large kicks might want to have a chance. without being put in that position by technique of the inept Denver Offense, Elam not in any respect receives adequate press to ever warrant a aspect out.

Rest his leg. Elam is important to the team, and they don't want him injured on Kickoffs, which anybody with a decent leg can do.
