That is truly a personal choice and depends on the maturity level of the individuals involved. God bless

What a great question! I married my sweetheart after knowing her for 2 yrs. when I was 21 yrs old. Our marriage lasted 22 years before we realized that we shouldn't have married in the first place because we probably didn't have enough in common. Be sure you and your special someone have a lot (LOT) in common, because you will both change as time goes by and if you are married for 20+ years you will both face the question that my wife and I did, after raising lots of kids together: are we happy? Shall we continue? or Go on with our lives?: I think the more you have in common with each other the greater chance you have of making it. I don't think age really determines anything. If you are in love and have a LOT in common at age 18, and continue to laugh and love each other, it will last! Good luck!

hmm.. i think there will never be an ideal age.. since you are in a good relationship, and that the two of you are prepared for marriage, then age will never be an issue..
but i think the norms for guys will be like 25 and above and the ladies from 23......
most of my friends married at 26 to 27, which i think is a rather good age...

I remember seeing a study somewhere, that the chances of a marriage lasting when the couple are 25 and under, are very slim. Something like 75-80% I think end in divorce. It freaked me out..so I'm waiting till I'm at least 25. Might as well get all the partying out now.
