I mean , Israel is again threatening its neighbours. Violating the airspace , killing civilians... I think France should not have agreed for peace keeping. Israelis have scant respect for UN or for that matter , anybody else. They will have utter disregard for the peace keepers on ground. Why should the world clean up the mess created by bullying nations like Israel , USA etc??? After the USA destroyed practically the whole infrastructure ( except oil related , which were the primary interest of the occupiers of US & UK ) in Iraq , why should the world pay for the reconstruction??? The world was not able to do anything in preventing the mess in Iraq. Should have atleast left it alone so that the US & UK and their mercenaries alone suffered the aftermaths.
And UN is the ultimate joke in the world now.

to lancelot: It may not be correct to say I hate anyone by what I have written. But I get my news from the net most of the time. And you may also be reading what I read. No , I am not happy anyone
attacking civilians. But from news we hear , I think in the month long war Israel killed more than a 1000 people , the vast majority being civilians. The not so professionel hizbolla managed to kill 100 + Israelis , majority being military. And Israel used banned weapons in that campaign too. Do you think anyone supposedly having superior strength to use dirty tactics like that acceptable???

Israel is isolated by the world. Virtually all of her neighbors are enemies, and some of them are trying to develop nuclear weapons to wipe Israel out.

That is going to be a very nasty war. There is no such thing as nuking someone a little bit. But we are going to have to face reality; in very short order we may be living in a world with no Jewish state and no muslims in it.

Scary stuff.

The only think you have said that is remotely connected with reality is that the UN is a joke.

The purpose of the UN peacekeepers is to keep the peace (should be obvious).
That being the case, if Hizbollah presents a threat to Israel (i.e. that is what we do not called peaceful) then it is their responsibility to neutralize that threat. That would include even using deadly force.
However, the UN has gone on record that they will not disarm Hizbollah nor are they inclined to get into a firefight with Hizbollah.
That being the case, they are absolutely useless, except to Hizbollah who knowingly prefer them there as some sort of human sheild.

It is clear to anyone that Hizbollah presents a direct threat to Israel. That being the case, Israel has the perfect right to do something about it.
I find it odd that some people are so obsessed with censuring Israel when they do not care about other genuinely scary regimes such as Iran and North Korea.

And for the record, all of the Israelis killed in LEBANON were soldiers (obviously). However, you seem to forget that Hizbollah fired 100s of rockets into Israel of which not ONE was aimed at what can even be liberally interpreted as a "military target".
