I guess he would have to wait for artificial intelligence to be more than an idea to use his virus!

The wording of your article demonstrates that you seem to be ignorant of the the concepts of artificial intelligence.

How would you write any thing IN artificial intelligence? It is not a language. A more appropriate question would be "What if some body writes a virus USING artificial intelligence?"

Personal guess, they already have. Viruses would use a weak AI system of alogroithms to get through defenses and cause the most damage. Such things are possible. Weak AI systems are not that complicated and have been around for 20 years or more. The only difference is that the methods of delivery are more efficient now than 10 or 15 years ago. I do not have personal experience writing viruses, so I do not know if it is done this way or not.

I guess the focus should be on the delivery mechanisms. More and more people have computers that stay on the internet all the time with high speed connections that just a few years ago. This makes more and more computers vulnerable.

What if somebody actually developed an Artificial Intelligence first. Many horroe movies have been based on the concept of AI gone amock. The terminator movies and so on are class samples. No need for a virus, just an AI that is as loony as a human would be.

Sounds like a really bad movie. I hope Spielberg isn't reading this.
