Start your own business doing laundry, ironing, sewing/alterations for people who work outside the home; maybe include a home "skool lunch" type set-up where you prepare on-site boxed lunches and deliver them to offices in the mornings in a basket where they have a variety of choices from homemade sandwiches, cookies, chocolates, drinks, other treats and goodies. It would take you about 2 hours if you solicited a multi-level office complex where they would allow you to come in and sell your goods. Make arrangements with the management of the offices within the building for daily deliveries. Not sure how you'd arrange for the kids to "assist" you - depends on their ages. You could hire someone to deliver the basket of prep'd food for you.

To try to be helpful, I will share a link (not a referral link!!) with you that helped me to make extra money in my free time ...From this site (free) I received a few pointers on what to sell on "Auction sites", making money from doing surveys, setting up my own web page, "reading" emails etc..
