I used to have service with suncom. while i was with them i purchased a sony ericsson z520a phone at full price. due to extensive problems with the network, i changed to cingular (which i love). When i moved to cingular i bought a new phone and didn't bother to think about my sony ericsson. well, i found it the other day and wanted to use it, but its locked. so i called suncom to get the code and they said that they don't have it i would have to call sony ericsson. well, sony said they didn't have it and that suncom were the only people that had it. called suncom they YELLED at me and told me that they wouldn't give it to me (but they had it) and i would have to get it from sony. called sony again, they said they didn't even have it, that suncom did. well this went on for over an hour. Suncom told me that my phone will only work with suncom. i know thats not right. so how do i get my unlocking code so that i can use it with cingular? i am sick of talking to suncom, they made me mad.

First off you can use any phone you want with cingular its just transferring signals. They have to give you the code end of story. If not tell them you are reporting them to the town hall and your reporting them the the bbb and if you have to take them to court. You will.. It tell them it will be at there expense.

It s true that SunCom is the only source that can provide the subsidy unlock code for a phone you bought from them. Perhaps you can go to SunCom's web site and find a way to email their customer service. To be honest, I think they are just mad becase they lost so many customers to Cingular. One thing that may work is if you tell them you need to unlock it because you are taking an extended vacation overseas and want to use it with a foreign sim card. Most carriers have a policy not to unlock the hone unless you are leaving the country.
