What are the minimum computer system requirements to get spam about free copies of Windows Vista?

I have a P4 2.6 ghz with HT technology, and it runs fine on my computer. Just turn off the aero interface. Microsoft claims the minimum is 800 Mhz of a P3 or greater processor (which Pentium M is). As for the video memory, you are going to need A LOT more, considering the updated graphics in Vista, that is if you want to run a lot of software. 512 MB of RAM is enough for me, and as for the hard drive, I have vista installed on a 30 GB partition of my 120 GB HDD.

Sorry, Vista is a hardware hog! U really need at least a 2.5GH Pentium 4 64 BIT/ AMD Athlon 64. You will need at least 2GB of system ram, and at least 128MB of DDR ram on a dedicated video card, on an 8X AGP or even better PCI Express X16 video card to run it well. You CAN download the Vista RC2 from microsoft.com for free though.

Your system is good. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required.

I have a Pentium D 3Ghz, 3Gb RAM 1.2 Terabytes hard drive, and I have not received any!
