I need to include and aphorism in my speech about lowering the legal drinking age to 18. The speech is about how teens will do it in moderation, and there will be less of a problem. I am already done with the speech and know what an aphorism is. I just cannot think of how to place one in my speech.

Thanks!

"Lower the age and lower the risks." Lowering the legal drinking age will lower the risks of overindulgence/binge drinking.

A short, pithy sentence, that is memorable. On you premise? I can not even intimate such a thing. Good luck, your going to need it. Any thing you do say may ring false and trite, due to your subject. You subject is analogous to saying 5 year olds should drive. This is the USA, not Italy. We have little truck with underage drinking here.

PS WE just went through a state by state battle to raise the legal age. The answer following mine sounds more like a advertising jingle than a aphorism.

The age that someone should have the right to drink should be the same as the age that someone is allowed to fight and die for said right.
