Sounds like an issue with the motherboard. You can replace it, or get a new computer.

Well ,you have learnt that Emachines are crap... if the beeps are continuous this means the Central Processing Unit has a major problem, it would be best to take the computer to a second hand store and see if they are willing to give you some cash for it... a good price would be $25.. do not dispose of in trash, someone can use the metals and could rebuild the computer... good luck with this!!!

You always get less than what you pay for!
Do not buy another computer!!!!!!!!!!!
Build it your self. It will have in it what you purchased, at the price you choose to pay, and with the performance capability that you paid for

try this . power off remove power cable . from pc and check the ram cards in the pc frist make sure there in ok and locked in they may have come out . if there in and locked in then i think it maybe motherboard problem . so you can have it fixed or buy new one
if you dont want any files off that hard drive then break it all up . if you do want files off the hard drive you can remove the hard drive and it to a pc store that fix pc and ask them to back up the files you want onto cd . b/c if you buy new pc & open it & try to set up that old hard drive on new pc as a back up drive but something goes wrong your cover for new pc is gone the pc company will say you open da pc so cant help you if the files are on that old hard drive you want to keep you can get a tech guy to back upthe files on to cd for you or you can take it to a friend who knows what there doing and they can add ur hard drive to there pc as a back up hard drive then you can back up all the files fromn it to cd then just put the hard away or you can let someone buy it from you . but befor you do format that old hard drive . if dont want the files break up that old hard drive

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
