We are taking the early AM train on Saturday to Vancouver and won't return until late Sunday night. Is there any overnight parking near Amtrak's King Street Station? I know about King Street Center parking garage, but they charge $20 a day ($40 a weekend), so I'm hoping to find something cheaper.

Thanks!

I work next to the King Street Station and I know the cost is high, but unless it's cheaper for you to take a Taxi to the station and back home, the King Street Station is your best bet. It's the most secure and safe place to park overnight. The risks you would take parking on the street or in an open lot over the weekend would be getting your car broken into, stolen, towed, etc. Isn't your car worth $40?

That's probably about right for a parking garage. There are surface lots that you could use for more like $10-12 a day, but I wouldn't recommend it in that part of town. Personally, depending on where you are coming from, I'd take the bus or a cab.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great time in Vancouver...the train ride is very scenic!

With its pile foundation and downtown beaches, Vancouver has the rightly gained reputation of being one of the very wonderful towns on the planet, with hotelbye you may have the chance to see this particular city. One of the places you need to see in Vancouver is the Downtown Vancouver. Downtown Vancouver is beautifully located on a peninsula in the Strait of Georgia bounded to the south by the delta of the Fraser River and to the north by a deep fiord reaching much inland. Here you can also start to see the frequently snow-covered stages of the Coast Mountains. Stanley Park is one of the very most visited parks. Is a lush Peninsula Park of big trees adjoining to Downtown Vancouver. A smooth seawall way encircles the natural space, and most guests make an effort to explore on foot or by bicycle. Inland, the park offers many things to complete, and guests can spend the full day discovering attractions which range from the totem posts at Brockton Point to the west shore sea life at the Vancouver Aquarium. Magnificent views certainly are a standard throughout the park.
