I'm a camp counselor and I love it! Does anyone have any fun experiences from camp?

Hey there...since you answered mine, I am paying back.

I have done a number of summer camps, mainly with the YMCA, and I love it. I am a full time firefighter and always looking for something to do on my days off, so I went back to the Y this past summer and worked their summer camp. It was a blast.

We had tons of awesome field trips and I think the most rewarding is that a lot of these kids were new to the experience and new to being outside all day as opposed to playing video games.

We got to teach them about working with others, conflict resolution, team work and that there it more to life than PS2s and X-Boxes.

Now I have stayed on and work at the after school program. I work at a school with 50 kids at our site, many of them from summer camp.

It is a great experience and I plan to stick with it for a while!
