My child is doing a homework assignment on homophones. We are stumped on this one. Could use some help using the word "hale" correctly in a sentence

The meaning of the word 'hale' is 'vigorous or healthy' but it is rarely used except in the expression 'hale and hearty'. That's probably the only time you'll ever see it used.

When I saw Jerry striding across the yard, looking so fit and happy, I finally understood the phrase in books where they describe the character as 'hale and hearty;' it has to do with a character's robust physical and mental health. Hope this helps. ps. try dictionary.com for the definition

Dictionary definition is strong and healthy. "Most farmers are hale and hearty". How is that for a simple sentence?
