Artifacts are not artificially made...
They are produced over time...
Artifacts are those things such as: primitive tools, bowls, plates, and homes or living conditions that have stood the test of time and were not ruined over time...
You can find artifacts like sea life and bones and ships and communities all over the world to prove ancient civilizations existed when they are unearthed by excavations...
The artifacts are what is left to prove an ancient civilization existed before us...
It is the proof you find in mother earth...

Nobody ever made an artifact. Forgeries of artifacts perhaps, but I doubt anyone ever sat down and made something with the purpose of being found long after their culture had faded into memory. Rare and priceless artifacts now were household items or decoration then. Of course if you don't like that answer, you can also choose 1972...

well the ancient egyptians had artifact parties where they would make and label items artifacts. then they woudl strategiclly bury these items for someoen to find hundreds and thousands of years later. artifacts are still being made today, except they messed up because everythign is so cheaply built if you bury something it will disentegrate within 10 years if it even lasts that long, oh and japan, thats one big artifact

If you mean fake ones, they have been doing that for hundreds of years.documents. all kinds of things.people make a living doing it, fake paintings, ancient art objects. hard to tell the difference. with a lot of things they make, our copy.I bought something on the E bay, it was a forgery, if you do not mean fakes. then anything made by man is an artifact.
