Yes, a miscarriage is more likely when carrying more than one baby. If the mother has a miscarriage of one baby, the chances are low that something will go wrong with the surviving baby.

Yes that is very possible...how sad for her. My mother was pregnant with twins and lost one and delivered my brother full term. It would have to be fraternal twins who are each in their own sacs.

Yes, that is possible. I know someone that was having 4 babies and lost one and had 3. So, yea she is probably telling the truth.

yes! Women can lose a baby if they are pregnant with multiples, but go on to have a healthy baby!! I know girls that have done that!!

yes, but that doesn't mean she isn't lying. losing a baby is bloody and traumatic. Don't believe anyone who just happenes to loose a baby. She probably never had twins.
