...yeah and she freaks out and loses her sh*t, what I don't get is if Joanie hated "wire hangers" so bloody much, why was it there in Christine's closest in the first place?
Did this little kid go to the local 5 & Dime to get wire hangers to antagonize her mother? If Joan hated wire hangers so much...how did it get in her daughter's closest in the first place? This is something i've always wonder...thanks.

She got it from the cleaners, and didnt change the garment from the wire to a plastic. My question is why was that left to a child so young?

Sometimes when you purchase a dress or blouse, for example, it comes with the hanger included in the bag. Also, when a garment comes back from the dry cleaners, it is usually on a wire coat hanger underneath the plastic bag. So, by one of these means, a coat hanger could have slipped by dear old Joan.

In the Book Mommy Dearest, Christina explains that something came back from the cleaners and she had neglected to change the hanger and that's how the wire hanger got in her closet.

It sounds like Joan's doing. I wouldn't put it passed her to set the kid up herself. Leaving the wire-hanger in the closet to see what the kid would do with it. That would give her another reason to beat the kid and justify it as "Discipline".

of path, that's "Mommie Dearest." The e book the movie is consistent with became written via Joan Crawford's daughter, Christina. That e book and picture thoroughly ruined her legacy, in my view. It distracts from her physique of paintings. i for my area dislike all those movies and books. If no longer the rest, i think, that's a memorable line.

She probably had a back alley abortion and that's why she's so afraid of wire hangers!

It was something that came back from the cleaners. I think the book explains it.
