How does the fireflie actually work?Is it just like a real cell phone?Or will it be easier to just buy a pay as you go cell phone?For a 12 yr old?And what is it when you can buy your minutes or something?

the firefly is a function limited cell phone designed for kids. it lacks a keypad for dialing, requiring the parent to program up to 20 numbers into the phone, the child is then only allowed to make and recieve calls from that list.
it's up to you if you want to give your child this phone, which you can control every aspect of thier usage..or give them a regular prepaid phone. the buy your minutes is the same as prepaid cell service.
