The question is not if they are a good movie, I do not think that these movies should be allowed to make a profit off of them. Maybe some money, but most should be donated. It is wrong to benefit from the tragic events of 911. It is actually sick in a way. Especially when you use the real story, not a copy cat story.

Do you know how much any movie maker donated?
Why not have every one donate 90%
You can start any time. Or is it none of out biz.
what movies get to make money? every story is based on some event that could be some misfortune. Every movie would be Toy Story all the time, No Titantic, no Gone with the Wind,
If a nonprofit org wants to make a nice movie they can

Passion of the Christ: why would the profits go to charity? It's just artistic freedom about a book.
Flight 93: again, no need to actually go and give the money to the victims, I'm sure there are REAL charities and governmental-sponsered programs for that, and the event affected a lot of people, not just the victims, so again, artistic license of freedom to express the concept.

passion of the christ, that was an eye opener, it was a movie made to make sure the world will never forget what christ went through to save us from hell. flight 93 on the other hand, that was so WRONG. i mean, making money off of people dying? i know they were heros, but a movie, too FAR

It takes a lot of money to make a movie , Mel Gibson used a great deal of his own money to make the Passion of the Christ and although graphic violence made me think of how much Jesus suffered for me and Flight 93 made me realize that ordinary people in extra challenging times often find strength and courage to be heroes----both movies accomplished their purpose I see nothing wrong in money being made and the money being used to make other movies for thats usually how it works . Al Gores Movie also made money. I can't wait to see Mel Gibson's movie Acalypso-opening Dec.8 made possible by the money made by Passion of the Christ. The movie ws offered at lower cost to churches and large organizatons that desired it.

I think it's pretty disgusting but it's just as wrong to watch it as is to make it: it's a human market and there's a market in human pain. Yeah, it's sad. I cringe when I hear news anchors and speech-makers wallow in terror and wack off to the tune of 9-11. It's disgusting - but when they do it in a couple of decades it will be "romantic" instead of tripe, and until someone does for 9-11 what Slaughter House-5 did for war and The Bible did for Christ, the crap will sell to people who want answers that nobody is producing to questions that don't really have dignified answers anyway.

Passion of the Christ? Forget that. What about World Trade Center, or Pearl Harbor? What about all the WWII shooter games?

I don't know if it's wrong to make a film like "The Passion of the Christ" but I don't understand why someone would want to sit through a couple of hours watching someone (especially their "idol") be tortured. Would anyone enjoy watching their father (or mother) be tortured?

um dont know flight 93, but i didnt see anything wrong with passsion of the christ all though it was far to gory. Um all movies are made on inspiration from somewhere and they all have misfortune of some type. actors all though they get paid heaps alot of them donate heaps of money to lots of different causes. such as angelina jolie, they do heaps of charity work and are ambassadors for lots of causes
