I'm going to begin reading:

The Story of American Freedom
by Eric Foner

I just was wondering if anyone had any sites or links with the books chapter notes & main ideas... And, the thesis of the whole book. I think I found it in the Introduction but I'm not foresure....

is a science--a course that deals with methods of research.

I think that you are correct assuming that you found the thesis of the book in the introduction.

it probably reads something like this:
.....the ideological conflicts of the American Revolution and the U.S. Civil War and the shifts in thought about definitions of freedom and to whom it should apply.

Now that you already know the main idea, I think that you could skim the highlights of the book, in just as much time as it takes you to figure out that there isn't much about this book (other than how to BUY it) on the web.
