Ian is a great name but it's Scottish and doesn't really sound right with Rubio, sorry just my opinion.

That is a very nice name :-)
Ian has always been one of my favorites. Plus, it's not too common. I've always thought Alexander was an over-used name, but it's a good balance to have with a name like Ian that isn't as popular. Good choice and congrats on your new little guy :-)

I love the name Ian. Matter of fact we have a 6 mo old name Ian Crystapher-Edward and Alexander would have been my oldest son's middle name but we chose to go with a family name instead!

So what if your family doesn't like the name. It's your baby and you can name hime whatever you want. And I love the name Ian. Excellent choice. Congrats on your upcoming addition.

I really like the whole name. I also have a son named Ian, and the only drawback to this name is that when someone in the house is looking for him, they all call out with a shrill "EEEEEEEEEEEE-aaaaaaan!" Congratulations!

I don't think it sounds bad at all. And besides who cares what they think, once they see the baby, they won't care what you have named him, they will love and call him what ever his name will be. I think its a cute name and sounds good together. OH, BTW, CONGRATS!!!!
and by your screen name I assume you or your spouse are in the marines, just wanted to say THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!
