"I'm sick and tired of a bunch of despicable Republicans who will not debate real policy, who won't take responsibility for their own mistakes, standing up and trying to make other people the butt of those mistakes," he said. "It disgusts me that a bunch of these Republican hacks who've never worn the uniform of our country are willing to lie about those who did." -- John Kerry

I agree. One guy provided information and said that Democrats hate the troops. The CNN report even stated

"Kerry said the comment in question was 'a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops ... and they know that's what I was talking about.'"

Quite ridiculous that their "debate" is defeated in multiple accredited news reports.

John Kerry is an ***! My son could have gone to college on the government because his dad was 100% disabled from Nam when he died. They were willing to pay for my son to go to school. After 9/11 he chose not to hide in school he joined up and went to Iraq. He came home with a limp and a trashed ankle, hearing loss, a blood disease, and a bad back. he's 26. John Kerry doesn't know what he's talking about. He trashed our Nam vets it's public record, he doesn't get a second chance! Republican Hacks who never wore a uniform my ***!

I am disgusted with all demagogery. No matter who is doing it to who, such as the disgusting way Democrats treated Robert Bork in 1987 or the way Republicans treated John Kerry in 2004 and now.

I feel the same way the republicans bashing John Kerry. They never had the courage to fight in Vietnam like Kerry did and plus went back and rescued one of his crew when he was shot. I do believe when he made that statement in college that if you were not in college you`d be in Iraq. Well you never know if the draft ever comes back the ones in college have ha better chance to not go to war and stay in college or run to Canada.Been there when that happened and it could happen again and soon...

If you listen to what he said, he did say that our troops were dumb, whether he meant it to come out that way or not. Kerry wants to cut and run, that don`t work. How many times were we attacked in the 90`s, and nothing was done about and the attacks kept getting worse. We have to go after the terrorists or they will keep it up.

Yes, I'm sick of hearing it, but the cons are going to milk it. It's all that they have. So we're gonna get a lot sicker, I'm afraid. The measure of their own decadence will be in how much and how long they'll distort and twist and spin Kerry's words. So I expect it to go on for a while and get worse.

They ALL act like a bunch of 2 year olds. It's disgusting. If it isn't one, it's the other. Neither is free from trashing each other.

The really sad thing is that these "2 year olds" are running our country.

Thank you finally someone standing up for kerry.

I'm not in love with the guy or anything but the backlash is overdone. Imagine if everyone caused this much uproar at all the clever little things george w has said.

This is gonna be a great week watching the Republicans absolutely implode in on themselves. Watch as they start to eat their own. Watch as they parse every scrap, every word for something they can distort into a "talking point." It's pathetic, it's funny, I love it. Let's kick back and watch the morally & intellectually bankrupt Republicans fall to the bottom of the canyon like Wile E. Coyote.

**Pffffftt**

You mean like what the Democrats do everyday to Bush? Welcome to our world.

"...standing up and trying to make other people the butt of those mistakes..." Yeah that is just why the Democrats blamed 9/11, hurricane Katrina, and the war in Iraq on Bush? It cracks me up how Democrats are always playing the victim. Go cry me a river.
