You should definitely close the account. I know it may be a pain but it is better than your money being stolen. Talk to the people at your bank explain your situation and if there are any outstanding checks that haven't been paid let them know the numbers on the checks, keep that amount in the bank and they should be able to put a block on it so no other money leaves the account. Good luck and God Bless!

If you gave those scammers your bank account, you should close the account. They can take money out of the account with that number along with the bank routing number.

Go to your bank, or anyplace you have accounts where you have given out the numbers, and let them know what has happened. They can put alerts on your account so nobody can pull from them but you. They'll tell you any further steps you need to take.

Good luck.
