It pisses me off because I've asked a question about cell phones all week, and no answers, but when somebody ask "What is the best I-pod color?" they automatically jump into it??!?!?!?

The other questions require too much thought. Those people just want a quick, easy 2 points. They don't realize that they would gain more points in the long run (best answer gets 10 points) by answering questions thoughtfully.

I guess 95% of people might feel they can comment (briefly) on the colour of an Ipod - a few seconds for 2 points.

Your cellular question probably needed a little more time and possibly a degree of knowledge - as a result that percentage (95) just fell a wee bit :)

Could always try re-posting your question with a different title/heading perhaps?

It's because most people will go for the easy question because they don't have to think about it too much. A "good" question makes you think.

Because the good questions are out of the scope of intelligence of most people.

your question is probably: My cellphone was ran over by a 3 ton truck, can I get it reapired? Or a question no one really knows the answer to.

Whenever someone gives their opinion, someone else will naturally disagree with them. So they answer meaningless questions with different answers so they won't be confronted.
