The other questions require too much thought. Those people just want a quick, easy 2 points. They don't realize that they would gain more points in the long run (best answer gets 10 points) by answering questions thoughtfully.

I guess 95% of people might feel they can comment (briefly) on the colour of an Ipod - a few seconds for 2 points.
Your cellular question probably needed a little more time and possibly a degree of knowledge - as a result that percentage (95) just fell a wee bit :)
Could always try re-posting your question with a different title/heading perhaps?

It's because most people will go for the easy question because they don't have to think about it too much. A "good" question makes you think.

Whenever someone gives their opinion, someone else will naturally disagree with them. So they answer meaningless questions with different answers so they won't be confronted.
