Ease into it.
You truly should be thankful you don't have oppressively obnoxious STAGE parents, doting over costumes, makeup, etc etc etc,,, Yikes, how intrusive some can be.
I wonder though, in your Q, if you have displayed any talents or abilities that the parents have picked up on? It's pretty usual for a parent to notice,,,and/or THINK their Baby is the next Idol winner.
Perhaps it's a religious or cultural issue?
Another Q I'd ask, is have you expressed even a subtle interest in singing lessons, dance lessons, acting lessons? WANT TO is pretty subjective. CAN YOU can only be proven by trial, perhaps error, and experience. I wish you well.
I also suggest,,,even though I assume you are young,,,"Follow your Passions, when you can,,,don't deny them."

I am not sure why you are afraid to tell them, but it really isn't my business. What I do know is that you have to do what you want to do with your life. If you don't, you will never be satisfied. I have very supportive parents and even they tried to talk me out of being an actor. But if the performing arts is in your blood, no one can take that out of you. Now, they accept and support me in it. But I also worked hard to be good at it and I think that helped them see how serious I was.
I also had a teacher that said, "If someone in your life, I don't care who they are, is not supportive... cut them out. I know it sounds cold, but this industry is even colder. If the people you surround yourself with don't believe in you--you won't either."
I don't know how old you are and I am not saying that a minor should pack their bags and take the next bus out of town to Hollywood. But, just remember that you are the one walking in your shoes. So, if it means keeping quiet about your chosen profession, so be it. At 18 you are an adult and your choices are on you. Do what you love and do it well. Full commitment, full passion and with everything you have got in you.

Practice hard first, then go out there and get a small award or something. Then tell your parents you can do it. Follow your dreams! good luck.
