Wind beneath my wings - Bette midler. It was played at the funeral of a wonderful man that I knew. Where I was sat I could see his wife and as soon as they played this song, she broke down sobbing uncontrollably. I will never get that image out of my head.

Also, Everybody Hurts - REM. This came out when my parents were divorcing. It was a messy divorce and they were constantly arguing who would look after me, but at the same time they were both so wrapped up in the divorce they both forgot to look after me.

When I was younger I used to cry at most love songs because they sounded really sad and I was a sensitive soul, if I hear any songs from that era I tend to well up a bit.

Other specific songs that make me cry are:

Don't be a stranger-Dina Carroll
& A whole new world- Theme tune from Aladdin-

Both bring back memories of my Grandmother's death and also longing for the innocence I had before then at age 7/8. After that everything seemed to change.

-added- Also 'Somewhere over the rainbow' by Eva Cassidy- it's just come on right now. Her story is so sad and her voice holds such emotion that it just makes me want to weep a little.

"These Are The Days Of Our Lives" by Queen. Any time I hear it I well up, i can't help it. It's such a lovely, sad, wistful song and it's so obviously Freddie Mercury saying his farewell to his fans, and telling them he loves them. It's the perfect goodbye song.

It's also the only time I shed a tear over the death of a celebrity.
