Then, Mr. Kerry said: “You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Wasn't he in Vietnam? I guess he couldn't hack it back then huh? Maybe some of us would rather serve our country then go to school.

Because The Dems are so liberal they can't distinguish between a war and the brave people who volunteer to fight it so that our country and all of us will be safer. They fail to understand that if we were not fighting terror in the middle east we would be fighting it here instead with tons more 911's and worse. No war is easy, pretty or popular, but sometimes it has to be done for the greater good. The problem with the Dems is they have no spirit of sacrifice. They don't have any desire to give up their comforts for a while the greater good. They are like spoiled rotten brats. And when they see our troupes they have to insult them What a pity and Shame on Kerry!

SGT, they do not hate the troops. Actually they are more concern for the troops. You need to ask why the Republicans have our troops in Iraq when they had nothing to do with the attack on 9/11 but your Republican President used the deaths of those that day to go after Saddam. Now you tell me what is wrong with that picture. It is all about the oil, money and power and their evil ways of using their people for their personal gain. That is what the Democratic and the folks with common sense are so upset over. I vote who is going to do good for our country not on the party. We love our troops and I support them all the way. But I do not have to support our Government when I and everyone with common sense knows what they are doing is wrong. SGT, you need to do a little more research if you want to know what is going on around you.

SGT Come on, Your asking "Why do all Democrats hate the troops" , Senator Kerry was a Vietnam Vet. Do you think that he went too war just for fun or recognition ??? Also look at History, When Reagan (Republican) was in office how often were we in war ??? When Bush Senior was in office how often were we in War ??? When Bill Clinton was in office we were hardly in war whatsoever and I was in the Marines also at that time. When Republicans are in office the troops are always on the front yet always forgotten about. Democrats may want too make the military smaller but they also do far more too keep us out of war. Republicans are more concerned with how much Oil money they can put into their wallets regardless of the lives that it costs.

large question! some (an quite few) do no longer in basic terms like the belief of u.s. projecting its capacity in any respect. some, like Chrissie Hynde, brazenly pronounced that she hopes u.s. loses. a college professor pronounced he hopes for "1000" Blackhawk Down incidents. they are movitated by capacity of a hostility to u.s. yet needless to say our troops might die if that they had their choose. a lot extra, needless to say, suppoort our squaddies yet think of the conflict is incorrect. they are in a complicated spot. on the single hand, they have the splendid and the job in our republic to communicate out - citizen involvement retains our government on objective. we are the government! on the different hand, extraordinarily in a conflict the place the enemy won't be able to defeat our armed forces and relies upon partly on asymmetrical conflict and "demoralizing" the troops and the civilian inhabitants interior the U. S., dissent is considered as an encouraging sign to our enemies. there is not any way around it. seem up widespread Giap and what he pronounced approximately how conflict protesters have been needed to North VietNam's eventual triumph. it incredibly is not any longer the single that can inflict the main casualties who wins, it incredibly is the single that can face up to the main casualties previously falling by capacity of the wayside that wins. no remember if it incredibly is meant to or no longer (and interior the overpowering situations it incredibly is not any longer so meant), information of dissention has the effect of encouraging the enemy to maintain attempting. i might think of American squaddies could be happier in the event that they knew that they had extra help at abode. yet that begs the question - "why are we there interior the 1st place?" i know that. possibly the troops could be happiest in the event that they have been returned abode themselves! i think it relies upon on no remember in case you think of protests quit the conflict or lose the conflict. particular, I even have long gone in circles and not given an answer. that's what oftentimes happens once you attempt to think of a pair of problem, incredibly than hurl insults - which i'm effective others are doing. playstation GOD BLESS your Dad and each and all of the troops. they are u.s.'s terrific! I artwork to help them and pray for them each and on a daily basis. there are various respected charities and different amenities the place one promises funds, deliver products, or in basic terms write letters to the troops. no remember what one thinks on the subject of the conflict, it incredibly is nevertheless incredibly common to become in contact.

He just proved yesterday what people here on answers have been saying about the looney left for months. Liberals hate America and the troops that fight to keep us free.

Well, let's think about that for a minute, shall we? Who do you think hates the troops more, a group of people out of whom one guy arguably called the troops dumb -or- a group of people who lied, distrorted and stretched the truth to get almost 3000 of the troops killed and untold numbers maimed in a pointless, endless war in a godforsaken sand pit?

If I was in the military, you could call me dumb all you wanted as long as you didn't send me off to die for nothing.

I guess you could say Kerry hates the troops if you'd rather be killed than called dumb, but the rest of the Dems didn't call the troops dumb.

Repubs are the ones who lied to get them into a war for no other reason then monitary gain.

Repubs are the one who cut benefits for vets as soon as Iraq vets started coming home injured, disfigured, and dead.

Repubs are the ones who drive around with those "support the troops" buttons, however, rarely do you see them making support packages, donating money or time to veteran service, or doing anything tangible. They tack those on to their cars, spout rhetoric and think that such "slactivism" really constitutes supporting their troops. They don't have to be their to clean up the damage when family members come home totally changed and traumatized by what they saw and experienced there!

Repubs hate the troops!

Lookie here, suddenly a "SGT" usmc show up out of the blue.

You fakers are going to lose.

Many of these fake "republicans" have never served.

They abuse the Troops, like a rapist...
then when the police show up, kick in the door
and some wood chip hits the rape victims leg, repubs get off of her and scream "stop hurting her leg".

As a U.S. Marine, these phonies make me wanna puke.

They don't and the information you provided shows that.

"Kerry said the comment in question was 'a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops ... and they know that's what I was talking about.'"

If you provide facts supporting your debate, make sure they don't defeat your argument.

Its there party platform, Bill took the U.S Army from 18 divisions to 10! The next democrat will probably make our army a token one in name only and cower before our enemies! Can any of the other services say what Bill did to them in the 90"s, I'd sure like to know?
