ok my friend and i were arguing because the other day, i walked into the boys bathroom and got in trouble. (BTW im an 18 yr old senior at a small high school...and since im 18 and an adult, i believe i can walk into whichever bathroom i please!) but neway there was no one in there but me
and so im wondering, well boys and girls have separate bathrooms...isnt that discrimination? separate but equal?
im not implying i would like to actually use a boy's bathroom....in fact i find them repulsive...but i was just wondering, IS it discrimination?

i for one think that an 18 year old woman can go into anyroom she wants and as far as the boys in her school are concerned they should feel special that she even graced their precence by entering said bathroom p.s i welcome any woman into my restroom anytime

Being 18 has nothing at all to do with where you can pee. Bathrooms are generally made separate for privacy purposes. While I don't feel odd changing my pad with a girl in the next stall, I'd be a little embarassed if it was a male. I'm 20 and still feel that way. It's not discrimination. In fact, in public you can use whatever facility you choose. Since it was at school, you have to obey their rules regarding it, not general society's. Regardless of your age you are still a student and must comply with the school's rules.

No, there are rights of privacy . In every state I know of, that is the law,
Just this month in NY people of "transgender" living as the other sex now are allowed to use the bathroom of the sex they are living as.
Before that anyone doing it was subject to arrest

"since im 18 and an adult, i believe i can walk into whichever bathroom i please!"
Part of the maturation process in becoming an adult is the realization that you cannot do whatever you please, especially when your actions affect others.
You live in a society, and societies have rules.

In my grand-daughter's elementary school, adults aren't allowed in the children's bathroom ... they have their own. Would you consider THIS discrimination too? or just playing it safe?
What a silly question .......

Yes how sexist, we should also have one locker room. Oh that would be interesting.
(I am being sarcastic in case you didn't catch it.)
I once wnet into the girls bathroom when the janitor was cleaning it, wherever I go they always clam the girls restroom has a sofa, liars.
