When you do a full recovery, you initialize (completely erase) your C drive, including Windows Xp Os.
However, your D drive, contains everything like it was when you purchased your computer, so your computer will re-load your Windows Xp Os, along with all programs on the disk when you bought computer.
You will do exactly what you did when you first set your system up the first time, registration, etc. . . . . . Piece of cake.
Happy Halloween,

full system recovery will erase all files on the computer and restore it to the state it was when new. If your XP was installed after (i.e an upgrade) it will be gone. If your system is an older one, you might NOT want to use this option. I know you have backed up all your files, but what about your programs??

Full system recovery puts you computer back in the state it was in the day you bought it. If it came with XP without any Service packs, you will have to update it.
All programs that you have installed will have to be reinstalled also.

No it will not
Full system recovery simply restores your computer to an earlier date and may renew some old, delete files.
you will not lose your OS. only if you reformat your harddrive

Yes and No.
It WILL get rid of your OS and all CURRENT settings,
THEN it will RELOAD everything that was on it when it was ORIGINALLY loaded if NOT "factory preloaded" or everything it had when it left the factory if it WAS "factory preloaded".
THEN, since you were smart enough to have backups, you can reload whatever else you have that you want on it.
