I just remember someone saying that the immature sound voice a mature young lady had was usually a sign that she had been sexually abused at some point. I wanted to see any documented evidence of this or at least get an answer.

When girls are victimized most feel fearful for most of their adult lives. This underlying fear can create a woman to use protective features in body language and voice. When a woman uses a girls high pitched voice, it can be a sign that she is portraying herself as person who is non-threatening, thereby, feeling that in some way she is protecting herself so no one will hurt her if she portrays herself as childlike. Usually the woman has no idea she is doing this until she starts to truly listen to herself, or someone happens to tell her about her high pitched voice. Yes, it can be a sign of past sexual abuse, but not always.

I've heard that also. I'm not too sure that it's true because I know people who have had the high pitched voice and never been molested. I've also known people that have been molested and don't, so I don't think that that's true...

That is a bunch of garbage. The nit-wit that said that to you didn't know a thing about what they were talking about.

I never heard that, but maybe she has a hormonal thing that makes her look and sound younger. Is she very short and round with big head?
