Hi, I have changed the way I do Halloween. I have over the last several years began putting scripture in a snack bag with 4-5 pieces of candy. It is my way of fighting the false ideas about Halloween and providing a sign of the love Christ had for us. I also comment on the kids costumes to make them feel good, and if the mother or father is close i talk to them as well. This is my own personal touch to a impersonal holiday, and it seems to work well the parents like it and the kids i love to see their reaction.

If they have on a costume (and some don't) I say how scary, or pretty, or cute, or clever, and give out the candy, they all said thank-you tonight, even the lame ones with no costumes on....
Halloween is just not as great as it used to be, I live in Michigan and it is very cold here tonight, lots of little ones had winter coats over their costumes....

COMMENT ON THEIR COSTUME SOME TOOK A LONG TIME TO PICK IT OUT OR HAVE IT MADE, SOME STORE BOUGHT BUT TOOK A WHILE TO CHOSE FROM THE MANY ON THE RACKS, OTHERS JUST WANT TO MAKE U LAUGH SO GO WITH THE FLOW AND HAVE FUN. BE A KID AGAIN THROUGH THEM.

i say what are your costumes and i like them, and then i say that ther so kute becuse they come running to the door in their little costumes!!!!!
