Barbecued dog? It takes me back to the streets of Asia, Bangkok, Angeles City, some places in Singapore... We called the sticks of meat 'dog' but, probably the best beef actually.
Only time in 4 years in SEA that I got sick was from the Mex brothers, two cooks in the messhall, at Don Muang RTAB, who gave over 120 people Amoebic Dysintery! No one died, but, some wished they had!
I grew to love the dried squid, and was acclimating to the culture and language of the common Thai rice farmer. They loved the American GIs, but, we thought perhaps they liked our great stamina at pulling a plow or guiding a water buffalo!
The peasant farmers of Asia are actually extremely likeable, and are very fair and kind to strangers, and we always tried to do likewise. The Vietnamese were no different though torn between two terrors.
You should, also. Do not do the kids badly, for that will come back on you! Just give out treats, and be nice, and it will all be over in a couple hours.
Piss them off, and you'll be pulling crap off the roof, toilet paper out of the trees and bushes, for weeks!
Soap never comes off of screens... There's more, that you don't want to know, but will probably find out...
Many were on IVs for a week! Perhaps, you'd like, as a special 'treat'?

For future reference, if you don't want people to ring your doorbell or knock on your door, you turn off the outside lights and most inside lights as well...
Don't even have a candle burning cause they will know you are home...
A good idea is to leave a note taped to your door to say you are not answering the door or not giving out candy...
But generally speaking it is a universal rule that if your porch light is off, no one is supposed to go to your door...
It is the Halloween rule...

I once put out a bowl of candy with a large note beside it that said, "Sorry we can't come to the door to greet you and see your costumes because we both have a very bad case of the FLU! Help yourself to the candy and have a great halloween! "
Worked for me! There was not a knock one and no vandalism at all. 'Twas a peaceful quiet evening.

Show them you are busy trying to cook that dog. You know, people really gotta show more respect for when it's dog cooking time, this isn't a scheduled event and you don't want to burn the dog! I don't know, what happened to manners?

Stop cooling dog for starters then put up a sign and if they come through anyway tell them you don't believe in the holiday.

Leave some candy outside and they will not even care about your door or have up a sign that says "no candy"

I leave my pet werewolf on the front porch.if that doesn't stop them. I catch one, maybe two of them. bury them up to there heads near the front door, that's usually does it for the night.Good luck catching the little buggers. they can run real fast.
