I get friend requests all the time from people whom I did not know or has never contacted me. Why not send a message, a "hi how are you" type thing and see if the person clicks before adding a friend.
Do they just wanna look popular or something? Maybe they're lonely?

What do u think?

People use what is known as a 'Wh*re Train.' It's a tool designed to get as many friends as you can so that you can claim yourself as a 'MySpace Wh*re.' It's the 'in thing' to do on there.

I hate having a lot of friends, because it means that a bulletin message will only stay up for a very short period of time as everyone posts one.

The only reason that I've ever used a Wh*re Train is because I need to get the word out about my site and how I help people with it, as well as to give others another way to contact me through it like they can on this Yahoo! Answers profile.

Basically I get anyone I can to help out and go to the site as well as spreading the word, so that's the only reason I have a lot of friends on Myspace, and I do talk to some. Others are quite rude and can't take a joke, so I end up deleting them.

If you wanted to know more though, the details are on my profile.

It's a popularity thing. I wish myspace would explode.
