don't the vast majority of military people that may take offense vote Republican anyway?
the only people that I see getting upset are people that knew how they were voting 10 years ago...
what do you think?

fr_chuck: perhaps you're right... many races are very close... but will people see this as "Kerry" or "all democrats"? I don't know... we will see...
but strange things happen... and I bet someone else will say something stupid before the elections... but if it's the dems that do it... it could be bad for them...

map: that's a good point too... I was talking historically how the military votes and things may change this year... of course this situation could affect that...

it is the mothers and fathers, the aunts and uncles, the brothers and sisters, of all those soldiers.
Even those mothers of dead soldiers protesting the war would have to be offended by this ( unless they are merley being paid to show how upset they are)
I think this one event will lose the democrats their win next week.
All the races are close to start with, jsut 3 or 4 percent democrat just not voting, or 2 or 3 percent chaning thier vote can turn the election.

I don't think so. The Kerry comment is being way overblown by a desperate Republican administration, one that knows how unpopular they are right now.
Sending innocent people to die in an unjust war is a much more serious offense than anything Senator Kerry said.

Once people realize how much a nothing incident has been blown out of proportion they won't give it another thought.
I don't know about the vast majority of military people voting republican. I do know a lot have come back from Iraq and are running for congress as democrats.

I don't see how this will significantly alter any race.
This is an anti-incumbent movement, not a pro-Democrat movement. Anyone who has been even nominally keeping up with these districts would know this.
That is not to say that the entire GOP will not try and grasp at any last straws they can get their desperate hands on. Save a few very close races, the deal is sealed.

I think that Kerry's comment will hurt the Dems in the end if he stays in view during the campaigns. But even behind the scenes he is doing huge damage. He is funding a massive anti war protest designed to hurt the Reps. He is paying people to show up at the grave sites of soldiers killed in Iraq to recruit their grieving families to join in the protest. When more people find out about this they will show their disgust with votes for Republicans.

Kerry said, "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
Liberals are now claiming he was talking about President Bush.
Nowhere did he mention the name of President Bush. His insult was directed just at our nrave troops.
He never did apologize. Republicans need to realize that liberals hate the military. If we allow Congress to be overtaken by the Democrats, we will surely see this war underfunded and our brave troops left without the tools to keep them safe or to win the war.

I can't say how the rest of the democrats feel but I think his words clearly show a serious lack of respect for our brave men and women in uniform. Whether or not someone may like or even agree with the war, one thing is certain; show support for our troops.

The answer is no, The comment by Kerry is being blown out of proportion because there isnt much else for the Repulicans to focus on. The American Public has and always will vote with their pocketbooks, not what Kerry says.

Of course it means allot. The middle of the road voters and sane people of this country now see the complete idiocy of the democratic party, and its "NO PLANS" platform, How could he possibly badmouth this countries first line of defense, the ones that have been fighting to keep our enemies on foreign shores? I hope the sane folks see the truth now.
If you can't see the implications on the democrat party for what he said MrEd, then you need to go back to school. Ahhhhh horse is a horse ofcourse its tha famous MrEd LOLOL
