DUDE! Anytime anyone asks a question concerning drinking the majority of the people on here, without thought, slam the person who enjoys a drink.

I don't know what kind of drunk you are. You are the only one who knows that.

As I said above, I don't know the situation. However, I will offer this opinion, which I believe to be fact. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a few beers while you are relaxing.

You are a selfish drunk. If you sit at home and drink by yourself, you have a problem. Plus you don't see your kid for a week or two and you are more concerned about drinking than spending time with your child? There is a time and a place to drink, I just don't think home and alone is it.

you are just the kind that drinks when he's not working. Which isn't good, if you have to write this kind of question online then it's time to probably make some changes. ask your wife when your sober what things could be changed. I'm sure you could think of some things on your own. You could even ask you kid what they want depending on the age, it could be something easy and small and it's not too scary.

oh my god you sure you not my husband he exactly the same and drives a truck.
he used to go the pub for his beer which pissed me off cos i like to ave a drink and unwind and spend time with him too but you cant take your kids to the pub and it costs money for a babysitter.
so now we compromise we stay at home he buys beer for himself and a bottle of wine for me we sit and get sploshed together and have a laugh and a joke and talk about various stuff like how his time away was etc.
maybe you could do the same. if your wife doesn't drink it doesn't matter you can still ave a drink, and if your anything like my hubby you wont go over the top which will probably please your wife. my hubby says he prefers to drink at home cos when you go to the pub the temptation to get absolutely hammered is always there but when you drink at home it isn't and it saves money.

Why do you drink so much and fuss is the issue here. Can;t you drink and not fuss or is it something about your wife you don;t like that causes you to drink. so many questions here and not enogh answers to resolve this situation.
My best guess here is try no beer for a couple of months and see what happens. DRINK WATER INSTEAD.

I recommend you go to AA as soon as possible. Do not put your kids through this. Have you thought about them becoming an alcoholic in their childhood or adult life? Think About It!!!
I used to drink alot, but now I may drink one beer a month. Yes, I like beer but I can not leave it or drink casual.
I am not one of these persons that will cuss you, but I just wish that I would have been a better father and husband, but the beer took control of me.
I wish you and your family the best of luck in the world.

well to much is never good and your priorities have to come first, house kids time with the wife and then alcohol. if that is done I don't see the problem.
