I want to do something really special for her for Christmas. I don't have a lot of money, but I wanna do something great.

Any suggestions? She's 42, Catholic, into girly things, etc.

Ah. Give her some Personal Gift Certificates you make yourself. That's what I often do for my mother and she loves those the best of her gifts. Things like cleaning the house , giving her a manicure, giving her a pedicure, a 30 minute back massage, cleaning her fridge, the list is endless. Attach a little something to it with ribbon. Like the manicure can be a bottle of nail polish, house cleaning can be a nice little duster. Good luck..make it fun:)

My parents own a beauty salon and a lot of times people would buy gift certificates for people they know for their birthday,Christmas, etc. When the people come in, they are soooo excited especially to get pedicures! So maybe that or make her a card made entirely by you! Yup thats what I did for my mom when I was like 8 and she cried happy tears! Try one of those it just depends which kind of person you are! I would be both! But I'm not you so...

Well you could make a card for her telling her how shes you hero or spend a day with her and tell her how much you love her. Maybe after you get ansers ot this just print out the question and show her it to show how you care about her that you are willing to ask the world just for her.

P.S I getting my mom something but i'm also gonna spend a whole day with her don't tell.

I agree with Ikate... A massage at spa would be nice, it usually around 60-70 depending on what time. Or you can go for the pedicure manicure, Which might run you about 30.00.

Do something special for 12 days - like the 12 days of Christmas. One day wash her car, another day make her breakfast in bed, another day help her do the laundry or iron... If you can't do the days consecutively give her coupons, so she can give them to you when she needs the favor.
Sweet of you to care about your mom so much...

have you tried bathroom stuff, soaking salts, a bathing kit, so she can relax after a long hard day's work. or something she has been asking you to do, and havent had a chance to do it. Or making her breakfast in bed b4 she gets up to make the big feast for the occasion.

Thirty minutes at a day spa. She can choose a massage, manicure or pedicure or facial. Very girly stuff.

How about filling a jar with slips of paper saying positive things about her, your memories, favorite verses. Very inexpensive and priceless depending on how much thought and sincerity you put into it.
